Competition results for our fifth competition of 2022 - Series and Open. Our judge was Paul Robinson. As is often the case Paul brought with him some excellent commentary and a bunch of resources for us to check out.
On the weekend of September 2ndβ4th, 30 Members and family headed to Benalla for the only weekend organised for the year. After two years of uncertainty due to COVID, it was great that the planned weekend was not cancelled or interrupted in any way.
We competed again in the annual Knox Photographic Society Monochrome Interclub Competition. Unfortunately we were unable to supply print entries which impacted our score quite a bit... the results follow.
We were invited to join the Mornington Peninsula Camera Club Novice Interclub. We were grateful as a club to be asked to participate and share the work of our novice members.
Judging was performed by Ron Cork an AAPJA-accredited Judge and member of the Knox Photographic Society.
The Camberwell Camera Club Interclub competition results are in and as a club we placed third among the field of ten clubs. A pretty good result given the quality of the images presented by all clubs involved.
Congratulations to members Robert Moyses 2nd place for "What a surprise" and Robert Cahill Highly Commended "Dreaming". Big thanks to all members who supported us by entering the competition.
Our challenge master Karen presented those in the club rooms with a pairs of kitchen gloves and let them have at it.

On a wet and dreary Melbourne morning 21 Club members headed north for a photo shoot in and around the Cascades at Metcalfe and Malmsbury. I am sure all of us were hoping we would leave the wet and miserable weather behind and luckily all we had to contend with for the whole shoot was a bit of intermittent drizzle. We even had a few short bursts of sun and blue sky.
In an upcoming competition we require our members to create a "series" of images and present them in a single image for entry. Following are some tips on how to make your "Series" entry.

Starting from Weeroona ParadeAs we did last year we will have an open forum of ideas for the 2026 calendar of events. Members will also be invited to take part in 5 minutes of fame and present their work a skill they wish to share with other club members.
