Discovering Hobsons Bay

Exploring Hobsons Bay © Ian Gofton

On Sunday 27th August 15 Club members met at the Newport Substation to commence our Exploring Hobsons Bay photo shoot.

Members started the day taking shots around the Substation and adjacent Newport railway station area before moving to the Williamstown foreshore near the end of Stevedore Street. City scapes and boats were all the go with some of the group venturing out to the end of Ferguson Street Pier for a different view of the city.

Our final stop for the day was the Kororoit Creek historic fishing village at the end of Maddox Road in Altona. We were hoping for some interesting bird shots but birds were few and far between. The birds that were there were more intent on sleeping than providing us with nice birds in flight shots. Although the birds didn’t play ball, we all enjoyed each other’s company with lots of fun, laughter and good conversation.
